Creating a grid template

In lesson we were discussing the use of a templates for presentation and design boards. Creating our own template is useful as it gives us an identity to our work and presentation as it would be identified with us. A template also allows you to create design boards that are consistent in style and look like a set, it also allows you to label each set with a title that will run throughout.
here are a few basic examples that i used to help create mine:

Design board design 1 -
the grid for this design board was 6 columns and 6 rows, with a line down the end of the first column allowing my to label the presentation.
this is what it would look like without the grid lines.

Above are two ways in with i could use the columns to add imagery and text along side each other, the spacing between that images and texts are a gutter width apart which is constant throughout the design boards.

Design board design 2 -
Above is another design that used the same grid as he first but the line is at the bottom of the slide. I think this works betters it is not the most important part of the slide as it is just added information and  not the most important thing on the slide, because of this it i my preferred design. It will be used in the same was as design 1 spacing everything a gutter apart.
