Hepworth Gallery
This weekend i took a visit to the hepworth gallery to have a look round to see if there was anything new and inspirational. The hepworth gallery is in my home town of wakefield so i take frequent visits to the gallery whenever i am passing. The gallery has a constant exhibition of the work of barbara hepworth which is very interesting as it shows the tools she used in her work studio and also images of her at work. below are a few images of the large sculpture that are in he hepworth gallery.
I enjoy revisiting the hepworth to look at these sculptures are there large size is intriguing as well as the odd shades and structures.
At the gallery they were also showing work of other artists, below are a select few of the pieces that i look an interest in
I took an interest in these images as they were mono prints which is a traditional method that interests me because of just how much detail you can add into the image as well as texture and depth with the printing method. I also liked because the colour pallet was limited with i a similar style that i like to work in.
After visiting this exhibition i would like to try mono printing and possibly see what interesting patterns and texture i could create.
